At BIS Salamis we proactively promote our belief that it’s possible for everyone to complete a job safely and that everyone has the right to stop a job if they consider it unsafe.
Throughout the year we ensure that safety is always at the forefront of everyone’s mind with innovative communication campaigns, regular training programmes, monthly reports and our Themes of the Month initiative.
Our Safety Committments
- My colleagues and my own safety is paramount
- I will always conduct a personal risk assessment before undertaking any task
- I will only undertake tasks for which I am trained and competent
- I will always wear the correct personal protective equipment for the task
- If working at height, I will always take precautions to minimise the risk of falling
- No task is that important that it cannot be undertaken safely
- I will not cut corners nor take shortcuts
- When in doubt I will always seek clarifications
- I will STOP the job if I believe it is unsafe to continue
