LSA/NORM decontamination chamber

The requirement to remove and dispose of LSA/NORM material in a safe and environmentally sound manner both onshore and offshore inspired BIS Salamis to develop and introduce the Decontamination Chamber to our specialist plant and equipment fleet.

The Decontamination Chamber is a purpose built modular unit which can be mobilised to any onshore or offshore location.

Enviro-cap

Enviro-Cap is an innovative NORM containment system developed by BIS Salamis to allow NORM decontamination of well tubulars to be carried out at offshore locations. With the ability to decontaminate and remove NORM contaminated scales on site, the ENVIRO-CAP system eliminates the need to ship tubulars onshore for NORM decontamination, providing a more environmentally acceptable and cost effective solution.

Cold Cutting

BIS Salamis uses state of the art automated cold cutting equipment and ultra high pressure water technology as a safe alternative to hot work which eliminates the need for site/platform shutdowns.

The system is remotely operated removing the people hazard from the worksite and can cut steelwork up to 40mm in a quick, controlled and safe manner. Our cold cutting system provides significant cost savings, is environmentally friendly and can be operated in hazardous areas.

Tube bundle decontamination

BIS Salamis have invested extensively in high pressure and ultra high pressure tube bundle jetting, used together with chemical cleaning technologies, to provide a cost effective cleaning and decontamination service.

Our onsite service can be applied onshore or offshore, providing complete containment of contaminants removed within closed systems, increased system productivity and safety for equipment operators.

Span-Deck™

Span-deck has been developed by BIS Salamis to provide safe and efficient ‘under-deck’ access, eliminating the requirement for conventional scaffolding which means lower costs and faster installation and removal.

Span-deck can be installed, removed and adapted in a fraction of the time required for conventional scaffold resulting in a safe and stable primary means of access suitable for both personnel and equipment.

The Louper is the ultimate safe system for high sided basket access. It has been built and designed for the oil and gas industry by people who work in this environment day in, day out.
The Louper is made from stainless steel for durability in the offshore environment and will fit all types of open top baskets.
