This is a development opportunity for self motivated individual who feel that they have the right skills and attitudes that are required for these challenging positions. Suitable application will commence a series of training workshops that will develop them into the position.

Salamis onshore Project Manager / Engineer
Job Purpose
Operating to client and company operational, HSEQ, and commercial expectations, procedures and targets, the position holder is responsible for effectively leading and managing all Salamis personnel within the nominated platform. As Salamis supervisor you will ensure the Salamis platform team deliver against all client and company operational, HSEQ and commercial expectations and targets.
You will be responsible for all Salamis personnel onboard including specialist services and shall assist the onshore support team with effective planning, progress reporting, cost control and effective execution of all Salamis workscopes in compliance with the client plan.
Skills & Experience Required
You will be experienced in one of our core disciplines and preferably have at least 5 years experience of working as part of a small multi-skilled discipline platform base team.
You will be responsible for managing performance in the areas of: people & leadership; commercial, plant & equipment control, liaising and managing subcontractors.
You will have experience or working knowledge of material control, scaffolding, insulating and painting operations.
You will have a knowledge of safety legislation, safety systems/procedures and OPITO standards and be able to clearly demonstrate strong safety leadership qualities.
You will be prepared to undertake further training and qualifications as required.
Key Responsibilities/Principal Accountabilities include:
•As Salamis supervisor you will be the single offshore focal point for all Salamis activities.
•In line with the Platform Planner and onshore project team you will review the platform 12 week lookahead to identify forthcoming workscopes and assist with the planning of both plant/material and resource allocation;
•Liase with onshore project team and client on a regular basis to update on progress and produce reports and data as requested. Record and communicate workscope progress, productivity, operational difficulties and commercial implications including variations to the scope.
•Ensure effective cost control during all projects managing daily/weekly time writing as required ensuring correct cost code allocation of man hours;
•Proactively identify and manage resource ie personnel, plant & equipment etc
•Actively champion Salamis competency system and annually appraise all Salamis personnel with technical support from relevant discipline representatives.
•Carryout 1st trip assessments on all personnel new to your installation
•Communicate Salamis goals and promote Salamis services;
•Promote a high standard of workmanship ensuring all workscopes are executed and recorded in accordance with client and company QA/QC procedure specification
•Effectively track and maintain a register of Salamis plant equipment on the platform including inspection/certification control.
•Promote safe working practices and safety awareness.
•Lead Salamis safety team meetings and Advanced safety audits.
•Implement client and company procedure when safety and discipline standards are breached.
•Assist in the identification, review and assessment of discipline specific and general HS&E hazards/risks including Toolbox Talks, STOP, COSHH and manual handling.
•Complete and forward monthly HSEQ reports to Project Manager;
•Inform platform management and Project Manager of all incidents, accidents and near misses as they occur. Ensure all relevant documentation is completed and forwarded in a timely manner. Form part of the incident investigation team as and when required;
•Ensure all equipment is suitably packed and manifested for backload to Salamis warehouse.
•Liaising with both offshore and onshore teams to prioritise out-bound shipments requested for the platform
•Ensuring all materials arriving onboard have correct documentation
•You will be required to provide accurate and detailed CTRs for offshore workscopes along with outlined methodology for each activity
•You will be proficient in tracking productivity based on contract / discipline norms
•Attention to detail and accurate reporting is vital for the position
•Good organisational skills is key to the position
